Bert Klaassens

Co-chair of the Planning and Future Trends Working Group
Bert Klaassens is an economist with the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). He has over 20 years of work experience in the public sector, mostly in telecommunication regulation, but also in merger assessments. Within ACM, he has been involved in many market analyses, implementation decisions and related dispute settlements and court cases. The topics covered include broadband, leased lines, fixed and mobile telephony, interconnection and termination rates.
Bert has been active for the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications for over 14 years in various Working Groups (WGs), as a rapporteur/expert in a number of Phase-2 cases for the past seven years as Contact Network member. Since 2019, he has been Co-Chair of the Planning and Future Trends WG.
