Conclusions of the 10th Meeting of of the Management Committee of the BEREC Office in Vienna (Austria)

The BEREC Office Management Committee (MC) the held its 10th meeting on 24 February 2012, in Vienna, kindly hosted by the Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications - RTR-GmbH.

The meeting was attended by high-level representatives of the Commission and the National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) with primary responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the markets for electronic communications networks and services established in the EU Member States, the EFTA States and the States-candidates for accession to the EU.

The MC discussed all topic related to the functioning of the BEREC Office. The main results from the MC meeting are, as follows:

1. MC Decisions

The MC adopted the following Decisions:

- Decision on BEREC Office implementing rules to the staff regulations;

- Decision concerning the reimbursement of travel, subsistence and other expenses incurred in the course of journeys made by persons not employed by the BEREC Office and repealing the previous MC Decision MC (11) 23 by the BEREC Office;

2. Budget of the BEREC Office

The MC approved the 2012 BEREC Office budget for publication and implementation and the 2013 preliminary draft budget – for submission to the Commission.

3. BEREC presence in Brussels

In the context of the BEREC Medium Term Strategy Outlook the MC considered the different possible options for BEREC presence near the EU institutions. The MC requested the BEREC Chair and Vice-chairs to further study the issue with a view to continuing the discussion during the next MC meeting.
