BEREC events 2018

The 1^st meeting of the BEREC Contact Network (CN) for 2018 took place on 7 and 8 February 2018 in Bonn (Germany), kindly hosted by the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). The meeting was chaired by Elisabeth Dornetshumer – International Affairs Manager (RTR) and representative of the BEREC Chair 2018, Johannes Gungl – Managing director of RTR (Austria).

The meeting was attended by senior representatives of the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) with primary responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the markets for electronic communications networks and services. NRAs from the EU Member States, from the EEA countries and from the States that are candidates for accession to the EU were also represented. Representatives of the EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) and the European Commission also attended the meeting.

The objective of the meeting was to prepare the 34^th ordinary plenary meetings of the BEREC Board of Regulators (BoR) and the BEREC Office Management Committee (MC), due to take place on 7 and 8 March 2018 in Bratislava (Slovak Republic).

The next meeting of the CN will take place on 24 and 25 May 2018 in Riga (Latvia) and will be hosted by the Latvian Public Utilities Commission (SPRK)
