
Iulia Zaim-Grigore
National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania - RomaniaIulia Zaim-Grigore has been working for the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications of Romania (ANCOM) since 2010, her main line of activity being focused on the assessment of competition conditions in the telecommunications sector and the imposition of ex ante remedies, where deemed efficient and appropriate to redress the competitive forces. Other responsibilities concerned the collection, processing and verification of various statistical data required for the smooth running of activities within ANCOM’s remit.
Iulia has been part of the BEREC family as a regular drafter and contributor to the work of several BEREC Working Groups (WGs) since 2012, as well as to various ad hoc BEREC groups dealing with the Opinions in several Phase II investigation cases, including being a rapporteur. In the period 2018-2019, she joined the BEREC Office as a seconded National Expert, while in 2021 and 2022 she co-chaired BEREC’s Statistics and Indicators WG. Since then, she has been co-chairing the MEA WG in BEREC. In her quality of MEA co-chair, Iulia has been proudly representing BEREC in various fora, contributing also to the capacity building of the organization.
Iulia holds a degree in International Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (Romania) and a Master of Arts in International Economic Relations from the University of Konstanz (Germany). Throughout her carrier, she participated to numerous training programmes and professional development courses.
