Event date:
04-02-2020

Event location: Belgium, Brussels

Application deadline: 31-01-2020

With a view to develop a constructive dialogue with our stakeholders and to receive clarifications of the contributions to the draft NTP Guidelines, BEREC organizes a meeting on 4 February 2020, at 11.00-13.00 at the IRG Secretariat, Rue de la Science 14, 3rd floor, Brussels, Belgium. The number of participants is limited to one person per organization.

The BEREC Chair, Dan Sjöblom together with the Co-Chair of the Fixed Network Evolution Working Group, Wilhelm Schramm will be hosting the meeting. Participating stakeholders shall note that BEREC will not accept any new contributions, as the public consultation is closed.

BEREC has drafted the guidelines on the location of the network termination point (NTP) to provide guidance to NRAs on common approaches to the identification of the NTP in different network topologies. BEREC launched the draft document for public consultation last year and closed it on 21 November 2019. The assessment of the stakeholders’ contributions and their consideration is still ongoing.

By 21 June 2020, BEREC shall adopt the above-mentioned Guidelines, in order to contribute to a consistent definition of the location of network termination points by NRAs, according to Article 61(7) of the European Electronic Communications Code. NRAs shall take utmost account of these Guidelines when defining the location of network termination points.

The registration for this event is closed. If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. Vassil Krastev [email protected]
