BEREC summary report of the BEREC external workshop on accessibility of electronic communication services

As June 2026 marked one year since the application of the European Accessibility Act, this BEREC workshop provided a timely forum to reflect on the progress achieved and to discuss the next steps in advancing accessibility in electronic communications and digital services. Promoting accessibility for all consumers is a key priority in fostering positive user experiences.

The workshop brought together representatives of end-users, national regulatory and supervisory authorities, market stakeholders, and academia to exchange views on the implementation of the EAA so far and its practical implications.
