BEREC position papers on the Digital Networks Act proposal

Europe’s electronic communications framework is entering a pivotal phase of reform, with the proposed Digital Networks Act (DNA) set to update the regulatory framework for connectivity across the European Union (EU).

BEREC has developed 16 thematic papers examining key elements of the proposal in greater depth, supporting evidence-based input to the co-legislators. Three papers are yet to come and are planned to be published by the end of June.

BEREC welcomes the ambition to modernise the EU connectivity framework and to support resilient, sustainable and high-quality digital networks. At the same time, the assessment highlights areas where further refinement may be needed to ensure that the future framework strengthens rather than adds unnecessary complexity to the internal market for electronic communications.

BEREC remains committed to providing its technical and regulatory expertise to help shape a competitive, innovative and future-proof digital Europe.
