In accordance with Article 16(1)(k) of the Regulation (EU) 2018/1971 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 establishing the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the Agency for Support for BEREC (BEREC Office), amending Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1211/2009 the powers of the appointing authority and the authority empowered to conclude contracts of employment (AACC) are conferred on the Management Board of the BEREC Office.

To ensure more efficient and effective management of staff in the daily life of the Agency the Management Board adopted the current decision on delegating the relevant powers of the appointing authority and the AACC to the Director, in accordance with Article 16(2) of the Regulation (EU) No 2018/1971 and the Article 110(2) of the Staff Regulations. 

This decision was adopted following the receipt of the ex-ante agreement of the Commission provided to the Agency with Commission Decision C (2018) 9086 final of 18.12.2018.

The Director is authorised to sub-delegate those powers.

The current decision takes effect on the day of its adoption.
