Report on the outcomes of public consultation on the Report on satellite connectivity for universal service

BEREC’s draft Report on Satellite connectivity issued after Plenary 2, 2022.  Essentially the draft Report was based on the results of a questionnaire issued to Member and Participants without voting rights (there is a total of 30 responses now incorporated and considered). 

The report sets out factual information in a number of summary pie charts covering many relevant satellite issues as detailed at Chapter 3, such as on Regulatory steps needed, Projected Satcom capacities, Suitability of internet access via satellite, Improvements to be expected in Satcom, and other relevant dimensions. 

From 15 June until 15 August 2022, stakeholders were invited to comment on any of the material presented in the draft Report, as well as on any other relevant considerations / emerging issues they considered important. This report assesses and summarises the contributions.
