BEREC events 2024

On 26 March 2024, BEREC held its annual Stakeholder Forum. This forum is an excellent opportunity for stakeholders from the telecommunications industry, policymakers, and other interested parties to discuss the latest telecom developments and exchange ideas. 
BEREC is committed to improving consistency and harmonising the application of European regulatory rules and practices in the telecommunications industry. Enhanced cooperation between BEREC and its stakeholders will help achieve this objective. 
 

Meet & Greet and Conference 
The BEREC Forum followed its traditional event format, which includes meet-and-greet sessions (30-minute informal meetings that allow stakeholders to interact with the BEREC Working Group Co-Chairs) in the morning and a conference in the afternoon.
The afternoon’s programme began with opening remarks from the Incoming BEREC Chair, Robert Mourik (ComReg, Ireland), and the current BEREC Chair, Tonko Obuljen (HAKOM, Croatia). This opening session addressed questions or proposals from attendees, both in person and online, related to projects that might be included in BEREC’s Work Programme for 2025.

During the conference part, the panel discussions, moderated by Philippe Defraigne (Director, Cullen International), focused on the European Commission’s policy initiative for tackling Europe’s digital infrastructure needs and the increasing importance of security and resilience in this sector.
