Public consultation on the draft BEREC Work Programme 2024
The deadline for contributions is extended to 6 November 2023, 12:00 CET.
Already earlier this year, BEREC adopted the Outline BEREC Work Programme 2024, which is reflecting the objectives of BEREC's work in the upcoming year.
A first call for input to the Work Programme 2024 was launched after the 54th BEREC ordinary meeting held in March 2023 (15 March 2023 – 14 April 2023). Considering the early input received, during the 55nd BEREC plenary meeting (4-6 October 2023), the Board of Regulators has approved the draft BEREC Work Programme 2024 for public consultation.
The objectives of BEREC's work in 2024 continue to be based on the mandatory tasks stemming from the European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) and its four main goals coming out of Article 3 (2) EECC, as follows:
- Promoting connectivity and access to very high capacity networks;
- Promoting competition and efficient investment;
- Contributing to the development of the internal market;
- Promoting the interest of the citizens of the Union.
Consistently implementing the EECC continues to be at the forefront of BEREC's work. The BEREC Strategy 2021-2025 and its high-level strategic priorities will be fundamental for meeting the objectives and the work that BEREC will undertake in 2024 overall.
The incoming BEREC Chair HAKOM encourages all stakeholders and interested parties to provide their views and contributions to the Work Programme 2024.
All interested parties are kindly asked to send their contributions by e-mail to: [email protected] before 3 November 2023 12:00 CET.
After submitting the contribution via e-mail, an automatic reply will be generated. In case you do not receive the automatic reply after submitting your contribution, please contact BEREC Office.
Contributions should be sent preferably in English and, in order to facilitate processing of the responses, the comments provided should clearly refer to the certain paragraphs of the document.
We strongly encourage all stakeholders to submit their contributions as early as possible. Contributions received after the above mentioned deadline will not be taken into account.
All contributions received will be published on the BEREC website, taking into account requests for confidentiality and publication of personal data. Any such requests should be clearly indicated and clearly stating which information is considered confidential.
