Dr. Ulpia-Elena Botezatu is Space Policy Officer at the Romanian Space Agency and currently serves as Chair of the UN COPUOS Scientific and Technical Subcommittee (STSC) and Co-Chair of the ATLAC initiative on lunar policy coordination. She represents Romania in international space fora, including UN COPUOS, ESA, and EU space security structures. Her work focuses on the intersection of space governance, international cooperation, and space sustainability. She holds a PhD in engineering with a focus on tech policy and has over 12 years of experience in space and science diplomacy. Currently, she is pursuing an LL.M. in International Law to better grasp the intricate connections between legal and technical aspects of space security.
