Julia Velkova is professor of Media and Culture at Linköping University, Sweden and Profutura Scientia Fellow at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study. She researches digital infrastructure development from social perspectives with a focus on questions of sustainability and public values. She currently leads a research project on the social and cultural production of end-of-life of communication networks with a focus on the copper network in Sweden.
