Paolo Castiglione joined in 2024 the Austrian telecom regulation authority (RTR) as a technical expert, focusing on fixed telecom networks and internet markets. Before this, he worked for 12 years in the electronics manufacturing industry, responsible for development projects in R&D departments, in roles including system designer, team leader, and project manager. He began his professional career as a doctoral researcher in the field of digital signal processing for wireless communications at the Telecommunication Research Centre Vienna (FTW) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

Paolo holds a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from TU Vienna and a Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
