Preliminary Schedule for the BEREC and Contact Network meetings and public debriefings in 2014

According to Article 4 (6) of the BEREC Regulation the Board of Regulators shall meet at least four times a year in ordinary sessions, which shall be convened by its Chair. The ordinary meetings of the Board of Regulators are prepared by a specific type of Expert Working Group, called “Contact Network”, which is composed of senior representatives of all members and which is chaired by a representative of the Chair of the Board of Regulators.

The Rules of Procedure of the Board of Regulators also state that any BEREC member may host a meeting of the Board of Regulators. This provision is applied by analogy for the meetings of the Contact Network. The final decision about the meeting dates and the meeting hosts is entrusted to the BEREC Chair.

In that respect, following a call for expression of interest for hosting the BEREC meetings mentioned above in 2014, the Incoming BEREC Chair, Mr Göran Marby - Director-General of the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS), has approved the preliminary schedule for the ordinary BEREC and Contact Network meetings in 2014, which is presented below for information to all interested parties.

The BEREC and Contact Network meetings are open for participation only to BEREC members and observers. However, with a view to increasing transparency, after each plenary meeting BEREC will organise a public debriefings in order to present the outcome of the meetings, which indicative schedule is also included in the list provided below. The public debriefings are open to the public but are subject to prior registration through the BEREC website.

BEREC will also publish the meeting agendas and meeting conclusions of all BEREC and Contact Network meetings on its website.
