BEREC has adopted a BEREC opinion on a Phase II investigation: Case FI/2013/1498

BEREC adopted a BEREC Opinion on Phase II investigation pursuant to Article 7 of Directive 2002/21/EC as amended by Directive 2009/140/EC on 29 October.

On 2 October 2013, the Commission the European Commission informed the Finnish Regulatory Authority FICORA and BEREC about its serious doubts considering that a draft measure concerning the markets for call termination on individual public telephone networks provided at a fixed location in Finland (market 3) would create a barrier to the internal market.

Following its role and rules BEREC adopted its opinion, stating that the expressed serious doubts by the European Commission are justified. More specific information about the serious doubts of the European Commission and BEREC’s assessment can be found here:
